Sony have announced the PS Vita 2000, a smaller, cheaper version of their current handheld, which is set to be released in Japan in October. The new device is 20% thinner and 15% lighter, and will be equip with a cheaper LCD screen, instead of the original Vita’s crisp OLED.

It’s well known that when it comes to broadband speeds a majority of Europe are well behind, the UK included. Although some major cities have 20mb speeds, most areas are stuck with much slower speeds. It’s because of this that Sony have delayed the roll out of their PS4 Gaikai service (Cloud Streaming).

PS Plus subscribers in the US will get the option to pick four selected indie games for a 20% discount. These games will be available for the PS Vita over the next few weeks and will include Spelunky, a puzzle game based on mining.
