Revealed during Nintendo’s E3 Direct, Frogwares has today released the first gameplay footage of The Sinking City on the Nintendo Switch; while also going into some detail on how the team was able to pull off the port.

The team has worked hard and taken on board feedback from players to make multiple improvements and tweaks to ensure The Sinking City is the best it can be on Nintendo’s hybrid console. From new gunshot sounds and visual effects to added gyro aiming and touchscreen support.

“We did our best to optimize the game and ensure it runs at a stable 30 frames throughout. We also improved combat a bit to have more weight and feel. Weapons now have new gunshot sounds, improved recoil and new visual effects. We also did our best to improve the game from people’s feedback. So things like crowd behavior and pedestrian AI has been tweaked along with all around additional levels of polishing and bug fixing.” - Serge Chervonnyi, Game Producer

From the get-go, The Sinking City on the Nintendo Switch will be available in multiple languages with full voice over and text in English, French, German and Russian. The game will also have subtitles for Spanish, Italian, Czech, Polish, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese.

The official release date will be announced next week by Frogwares, so keep an eye out for more info coming soon!
