Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Trailer Introduces More Monsters and a Frosty New Area

Capcom has released a new trailer for their upcoming Monster Hunter World Expansion.

The Iceborne expansion picks up where Monster Hunter World left off; players once again join forces with the Research Commission to explore the new land of Hoarfrost Reach. Following an odd sighting of a Legiana from the Ancient Forrest, the team will venture across the seas to a new frigid climate of snow and ice. The newly established base camp, Seliana, acts as a central hub for hunters in what is the biggest map in the game.

The trailer shows off the new Shrieking Legiana, a new variant covered in white frost, and some returning favourites (I can’t wait for the Tigrex!). Players who have reached HR16 will be able to jump into the new content, while new players will have to progress through the main storyline in order to take on the newer missions.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is due for release on the 6th of September for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with the PC version releasing later in the Winter. Players who already own the base game will be able to purchase the expansion as digital DLC while the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition will be made available for purchase in stores, which contains the base game and the expansion.
