Data Miner Finds Evidence of SNES Games Coming to Nintendo Switch Online

Posted by: Sam Tree | 14 January 2019

The Switch Online service launched back in September and along with it, Nintendo released a number of NES titles that could be played on the go and online with friends. While the service has been getting regular updates, Twitter user by the name of KapuccinoHeck has found evidence that SNES games could soon be joining the already stellar line-up.

The list of 22 games can be found below. Interestingly they do differ from the companies previously released SNES mini, with a notable few titles missing such as Final Fantasy, Mario RPG and Donkey Kong to name a few:

  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Soccer
  • Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
  • Demon’s Crest
  • Yoshi’s Island
  • Stunt Race FX
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • Pop’n Twinbee
  • Star Fox
  • Contra 3
  • Kirby Super Star
  • Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
  • Kirby’s Dreamland 3
  • Super Metroid
  • Super Mario World
  • Pilotwings
  • F-Zero
  • Star Fox 2
  • Super Punch-Out!
  • The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
  • Super Mario All-Stars
  • Breath of Fire 2

Of course, at the moment this is purely speculation but the evidence does seem to support the claims that KapuccinoHeck is making. Super Mario World is one of my all-time favourite games so I really hope this is legitimate.
